Oops!

In all the busy-ness of my life, I forgot to post my last hand. It was actually a fist. I took pics to show my process and posted it on my facebook. Let's see if I can send the pictures over to here.

First, I just box out my shape that I want. Usually, I do some lines first to kind of lay out the fingers and flesh of the hand. I didn't do that with this fist.

Then, I add some flesh to the hand. I played with it to get it to look okay.

Last, I just added a few details. Less is more for me.

This is a fun experience for me. I got to work on a project for my wife. When it's done and framed, I'll post it for you! Later!

A photo

Almost forgot about this! Took this the other night with Jennifer's camera. I only had two good shots because there was next to no light. The shutter speed was ridiculously slow for me to be holding the camera instead of using a tripod.

It's been too long!

Sorry loyal viewers! HA! You don't exist. If you do, let me know.

Here is what I've been working on. Doing some hand sketches every night for the past 3-4 nights. The are in order from newest to oldest. Tonight's is missing. It will be posted tomorrow.

Unite and Believe

Some "logo" work I did for church. Not anything special, I just wanted clean and simple with a focus on the text. Both turned out pretty well.

An Illustration from early this year.

Did this for a charity tee shirt for Emptees. A guy on the site wanted to help raise money for his friend to pay for medical bills from cancer treatment. The shirt never got made, though. This was my first attempt at using my Wacom Intuos 3 in Adobe Illustrator.

Gigantor

Took a picture of our Lizard, Gigantor. I messed around with some settings to try to clean him up some. Look at that inquisitive look in his eye. He's thinking, "Why in the world are you pointing that thing at my face? Feed me some more crickets!"

Jennifer showed me a site (I Heart Faces)which I've looked at one other time, I think. I figured I'd try to throw something up there to see what people's comments are. Who knows, maybe someone will see some potential in this shot.

Well, here goes nothing.

Here is my attempt to post some art that I make. It'll be different media forms as I try to figure out what I like the best.
